The Tower AFC, the clubs development team were back in action after the festive break

The Tower started off the better team putting pressure on Carron Valley keeping the play mainly in their third. After a few shots non of which really troubling the keeper Alex started the scoring, 1-0.


After the first goal The Tower laid off the pressure and were slack in the possession of the ball allowing Carron Valley into our half. A spillage from the goalie from a set piece allowed Valley an easy goal, 1-1.


Nearing the end of the first half Valley played a long pass over the top which was again converted, 1-2..

The second half started again with The Tower being dominant in possession and pressing Valley into their third. Chasing a goal The Tower where quick on the attack and strong defensively, A great pass to Alex had him 1v1 against the keeper when he was brought down inside the box and a penalty was awarded. Ross stepped up but had to wait whilst players argued with the referee, finally he took the penalty but was unfortunate not to convert the strike, 1-2.


With around ten minutes left of the game Valley broke through against the run of play and converted another strike, 1-3.


During one of the few times in the second half, Valley controlled possession both Butchard Dylan and Jakub Butkevicius were shown second yellow cards and sent off.

In the dying minutes of the game Valley took their last chance on the ball and converted one final goal, 1-4.

A disappointing afternoon for the Tower players who were very dominant in possession over the 90 minutes.
